Hi, just wondered what is the age limit for a Liverpool City Council licensed hackney? I ask as I might of used an illegal/unlicensed cab on Saturday night in Liverpool City Centre. It was an older metro hackney P reg, had no radio set or badge on display if I recall correctly (I was a bit worse for wear at the time!)

Do you get this sort of thing happening often or is it unheard of?? I can't for the life of me remember if there was a hackney plate underneath the reg plate, but something seemed off/not right. Didn't get ripped off but just seemed odd??

(I have googled extensively to no avail for the age question so I am not being a lazy [edited by admin] by just asking and not looking first!)

Cheers

He is taking the pi55 out of the general age of Taxis in that manor.

Not quite as funny when you have to explain it.

Ahh right, humour doesn't really come across too well on forums (I thought he was just being a mardy see you next Tuesday lol)

I thought the general age was around 10 years, hardly see any metro's, fairways even less so, more chance of seeing some southern shandy drinker reading the Scum, hence my thinking some enterprising young go-getter had bought a 500 quid cab from Blackpool and was making a few quid on the side!

Actually Blackpool was the first place in the country to have electric streetlamps, thousands would come to look at them, it's how the illuminations started.
