I'm not too sure driving a taxi without the right license will do you many favours, but at least you are trying to do it within the law now.

The fact that you are applying to do it legally should help, but you wont know until you try.

I wish you luck.

FFS, make sure you disclose EVERYTHING on your licence application form.

Otherwise, they will reject your application purely on the grounds that you failed to fully disclose your previous problems.

I dont think the cop was the dip stick . You should not have been driving your dads cab, thats the point. try and get your license & good luck but put the blame where it goes & not play the innocent party bit.

Good job the car wasnt seized, the cops could have also done your dad (allowing you to drive uninsured*) or if he didnt know you took the car you could have been done for TWOC.

My Insurance will not cover anyone with no badge, ,my LA require all drivers have a badge, your dad's LA must be very lenient, your dad was lucky he didnt lose the car and his business

*even if on the policy, having no badge could void cover

Pedantic note :- If it was a "taxi" it didnt need an Ops licence
