I have a restricted PCV licence that at the moment I do not use. I want to put this licence on a car to do some work. Can anyone recomend an insurance company who will cover the car for hire and reward, at a reasonable price? Any comments welcome. Regards John. :P

It would be a restricted psv Operator's licence. the Traffic commissioner does not take kindly to abuse of restricted O licences and the OP may lose this licence at a Public Inquiry if he's found using it regularly on a p/h car. The restricted licence is for someone whose main business is not that of a psv operator t.e a yaxi frim, who needs a vehicle or two over 8 seats and under 17 seats.

I'd suggest if he wants to use the licence, get a 9 seater, but remember, a tacho MUST be fitted and used in accordance with the regs.

Yes, D1 or D1E, without code 101.
