Post subject:  Why oh why?
Do our stupid Council insist on yearly enhanced CRB checks?? I've just been to renew my badge and yet again I've been fleeced for a yearly enhanced CRB check. Now forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't a enhanced CRB check for life? I wanted to argue the toss with the woman who was dealing with it but in true style Ashfield Council have employed someone who hasn't got a feckin clue, when I questioned her on these yearly enhanced CRB checks she said, "I don't know anything about this I've only just started". Great stuff once again from the inept ones over at Kirkby in Ashfield.

Done that last year nothing came of it.

WHY? Simple. Because you pay for it. if the Council paid for it, it would be a once only occaision, like the do for all their employees who require one.
