Questions you guys might be able to help me with please :
Under the 1847 Act I understand that you have to:- "Name every person involved in the keeping, employ or letting for hire of the Hackney carriage"
Q1: Is the onus on the proprietor to inform the council of an "interested party" or on the new additional driver/proprietor.
Q2: Should it automatically be done on the sale / transfer of the vehicle or could it wait until renewal time?
Q3: Is the (prompt) non disclosure of this illegal - and who is liable?
Q3: Am I correct in thinking that if a cab with a current plate is sold on to a new owner, and the old owner has no interest in it (financial or otherwise) it is not legal for them to retain "proprietorship" on the plate, and demand something in return, be it cash or some other consideration?
Ill be very grateful for any help anyone can give
