Lesson in clean-up charge after a puker: from a mate who is chief engineer at Gothenberg Tramways. Their cleaners get Skr5 a puke to clear it up. when a tram driver sees someone start to puke, he brakes 3 or 4 times, that way there's 4 loads of puke to clear up, the cleaner gets Skr20 instead of Skr5! Simples.. As for the NVQ or Btec, all a waste of time if you're reasonably intelligent. |

Ive contacted a COUNTY council school transport dept (not a licensing authority) who want (for drivers) their own CRB checks, a MIDAS, Btec2 or NVQ2 for drivers, a "PATS" certificate for escorts and for (for WAV's) The Safe Use of Passenger lifts and ramps, and The Correct use of wheelchair tie-downs and passenger safety belt certificates 1 course i asked about cost £750 and took 3-6 months

The Btec is less hassle than the NVQ and should be quicker and cheaper to achieve |

I took my Btec with a provider form up north, the course was heavily subsidised through Hackbridge College, probably free to us! Can't remember! |

I managed to get just about all our drivers, about 100, through NVQ2 a few years back. The accreditation was 100% subsidised. New drivers haven't been done but the LA have raised the standards for licensing now so the NVQ would only be repeating what the council do. Historically, it has not turned out to be of any benefit to us, despite the hype around the NVQ at the time. |

I never did rate the NVQ that highly, the Btec was always a better course if delivered properly. The Btec is quicker, cheaper and with more information than the NVQ. |

Both are total Pony. (For those who don't know, that's Cockney rhyming slang.) |

All we need now is perfect passengers (sorry customers in NVQspeak), and we'll be able to get the rate for being highly qualified. I don't think...
