This weekend a Blue Vauxhall Zafira with a "for hire" taxi topsign has appeared on our streets. It is not licensedyet although the paperwork has been submitted.
Our enforcement team say that they can't do anything unless a customer complains that they have been charged by the driver. #-o

I sent an email to our enforcement team this morning, the latest in a long line of emails, on the subject of enforcement of vehicles licensed in another Borough, in this case Rutland. The reply was. 'Unfortunately that is correct. We would advise Rutland and/or the police if we had concerns regarding an unlicensed vehicle, but we enforce licences issued in Melton Borough.' So come on all you drivers licensed elsewhere and any unlicensed drivers, fill yer boots.
