A couple of nasties hidden in what seem to be innocuous proposals: to do away with the need for consultation and a Traffic Order for yellow lines. This means councils could paint yellow lines (and increase their revenue) with no need for a Traffic Order; reduce the necessity for box junctions to comply strictly with the current regulations (and increase their revenue by decreasing the number of successful PATAS appeals because the road markings don't comply) to name just 2!
