Has anyone got any tips/advice for memorising the routes for the Sefton test ?
There's 40 routes, I'll get asked 6 at random and I've got to get 5 spot on.
How many attempts did it take others to get a pass ?
Thanks
Different Strokes for Different Folks.
Some go to a "Knowledge School" (don't know about Sefton, but most urban LA areas have at least one) because the classroom scenario suits them best.
Some write the route down (many times perhaps) and that makes them remember, like a shopping list that you write out but don't take to the shop, yet forget nothing.
Some write the route down, then read it over and over.
Some will do best to learn it by rote, like a poem or a song lyrics. (I had one friend who sang them to various tunes to himself, thought he was mad, but he passed!)
Some (like me) will drive every route (and even backwards) several times and so just know it.
Some will be driven along the route taking notes.
Some will get tested verbally by a Partner or Friend, some will test themselves in writing (but check your answers truthfully).
Most will use a combination of all of these methods.
Only you know how best you learn anything.
