I was dropping off in another Borough last night, as the passenger got out, three other people approached me to go back to my manor. I am aware that I cannot pickup unless it is a booking! So would a request from yours truly to the prospective passengers be in order, for them to ring a mobile number to book their journey, that might just be my mobile number. Would it be suffice and within the rules (okay we know the rules/L.A law) are being circumvented?....but would it be enough....as it is technically/factually a booking. |

Be fair............where does it say that I did it I think under current law you were probably borderline legal - there is a court case, I think from Chorley which would basically ensure you are eating bread and water over xmas

no entry till the job comes back through the PDA, if your an operator then you need the booking by phone/text before they get in "either prebooked or your f****d" no-one has clearly defined any time on the "pre" bit |

The booking needs to be made through your booking office in your own area. if you are using your mobile phone and your car as your booking office but you are not within your own LA then you are not meeting the requirements. |

You could be done for touting, not unlicensed bookings etc. But if you are done for that offence you might be the only one this year. |

But didn't the judge say that booking procedures under the 1976 act don't apply to hackneys? |

Someone is accepting a booking, regardless of the means. Surely they are responsible for meeting any licensing requirements? |
