BUT, if my 2 part driving licence can be one of the 3 acceptable proof of ID, er, why not put it on the bloody list?

Thank you for the email.

You are required to produce three official documents/letters to confirm your address - they are required to confirm your address and must not be older than three months from the date of issue (a copy of these documents will be taken and returned to you). Please note: one out of the three documents can be your DVLA Drivers licence (both parts ID card and paper counterpart). Below is a list of accepted documents.

Valid Documentation
Fire Arms licence
Bank statement
Building Society statement
Mortgage statement
Council Tax bill
Credit Card statement
P45 / P60 Statement
Work Permit / Visa ( UK)
Utility Bill – not mobile phone bill
Benefit statement – e.g. child allowance, Pension

I would not be able to produce the required documentation. my bank statements and utility bills are paperless. i do not have a fire arms license, a building society account, a mortgage, a credit card and I don't get benefits. My P60 is more than 3 months old and I don't have a photocard driving license.

Do you not have printers in your manor?

I had moved into my house six days (give or take) and had only my passport, birth certificate and no bills at all. My better half does all that stuff.

Had to get my driving licence online changed to the new address. Was at an address I lived at nearly 9 years ago.

Don't you have a birth certificate then? Or was that before they issued them!!!!

Birth certificates do not confirm your address.

My online bank statements do not show my address and the utility bills are in the wifes' name. I have a passport but that is not on the list posted.

I know birth certificates don't.

But only one item needed my address on.

Passport was not showing an address.
Birth certificate either.

Driving licence was though.

I was told to go into the bank and get the address changed there and then. Probably at a charge. Then get them to stamp a statement with my new address on and bring it in if I did not want to wait for my driving licence. Luckily the driving licence took 3 days from changing online to it arriving.

I have an online bank account. There is no branch to go into.
