This reply from the DBS themselves.... Two comments stand out Quote: Thank you for your email dated 28 December 2014. This has been passed to me for reply.
For a small annual subscription of just £13 (free for volunteers) you can have your DBS Certificate kept up-to-date and take it with you from role to role, within the same workforce, where the same type and level of check is required. By subscribing to the new service you could save yourself a lot of time and money depending upon how many DBS checks you have needed in the past. It is however the employers decision whether or not they accept a previously obtained certificate. No cost is incurred by the employer as it is for applicants to apply. You may find the following information helpful. |

Oh for F**k's sake why was my DBS form returned "with errors"? Cos it was an out of date form as supplied to the LA by the DBS....

at my next renewal i will take the 3 year badge option, and with this DBS (if it ever comes back) plus 1 years update fee, i wont need another till July 2018....
