For a small annual subscription of just £13 (free for volunteers) you can have your DBS Certificate kept up-to-date and take it with you from role to role, within the same workforce, where the same type and level of check is required. By subscribing to the new service you could save yourself a lot of time and money depending upon how many DBS checks you have needed in the past. It is however the employers decision whether or not they accept a previously obtained certificate. No cost is incurred by the employer as it is for applicants to apply. I was contemplating doing the yearly payment. But nah. Just going to get one done when the council ask me for it. You found out why yours was returned yet? |

I still cant believe the LA has its own DBS officer who didnt notice anything was wrong.... What salary is she on i wonder? |

Oh for F**k's sake why was my DBS form returned "with errors"? Cos it was an out of date form as supplied to the LA by the DBS....

at my next renewal i will take the 3 year badge option, and with this DBS (if it ever comes back) plus 1 years update fee, i wont need another till July 2018....
