So.

I have been using a car hired by my office for the first three weeks or so.

Handed it back and got my motor for the forseeable future today.

Where do I start.

Fuel is double. £20 got me just over 100 miles. Other motor was about 11 quid per 100 mile.

This instantly adds £70 a week loss to my pocket.

Smoke black type bellows out the back when i try to hit the motorway or pull away at a busy roundabout.

Three passengers asked if my car was going to fall apart due to the terrible noise from the dual mass flywheel.

Tyres are EXTREMELY close to limit.

So.... Anyone know about renting motors up here weekly in Newcastle.

Do i need to insure it myself. Do any of you know anyone who has a fleet?

Ok. it will be seperate BIT to my radio rent. But it will most probably be the same as i am paying now for the week.

Hope someone knows. Not mentioning names of cars or office i use as that aint fair to them to be honest.

What car is it?

The black could be your fuel filter need replacing! or might just need a good run down the motorway at high revs to blow the crap out the back... you have to do this from time to time.

Surely you already have insurance? if you have had passengers in the car? get your tired changed :doubt:

I am not prepared to spend my own cash on repairs. That all comes in the rental price from my office.

I just feel like I am paying a small fortune for a car worth about a grand and a half.

I was given a rented car that was brought in for a few weeks until a motor become available.

The motor that become available was this thing i just picked up.

I think this is the only spare undriven in the garage. Hence why i a now the proud owner of the shed.

I am paying £280 a week for the all in total. Hence why i think there must be a company up here that i can get a motor from for £160 a week total.

£160 is my car and insurance as to total £280 My office rent is £120.

Go back in to the garage and complain about the fuel consumption...sometimes they don't know that there is a problem....
and as for the black smoke..tell them that you have just had a pull by the police over it..and to get it fixed or they will put it off the road next time they see it..

(call it 85 miles/£10 or 44.56mpg)

you cant go in guns blazing without all the facts

Last car was a vectra. Nice n smooth. Albiet 07 plate. Still done the job.

This dual mass flywheel is sounding like a breeze block inside of a tumble dryer.

Bit of smoke sheets over the whole of the A1 is fine. But i really dont want this thing breaking down in the middle of the night 25 miles in the sticks at 2am one morning.

Yes. it is an old shape 07 mondeo. 130k on the clock so quite low miles for a ph.

It is no good complaining about it on here, you need to go to the office.

My uncle popped over today and I cranked it up with the cog on the front.

Told him it was the egr valve. He wet himself.

Then showed me the GIANT black circle on the concrete that had stained the floor from the nuclear fallout.

But hey.. I done my part. Cant do any more apart from just drive it until i get pulled off the road.
