| Post subject: | Credit card surcharges! |
Does anyone have a really solid brick wall, please? I need it to do a job on my head! I have just heard that our licensing committee will not approve a credit card surcharge or wording on the tariff card.................Until all credit card companies charge the same!!!!!! I am unable to make any sensible comment on that decision!!!!!! |

And remind your council that the set rates are the maximum, so they could say it's a max of 5%. Your council are thick, there must be 1000s of different credit card set ups, no way can, or will, they agree. |

Dunno if your council are the same as ours, but in the payment hall in our council offices there's a sign about credit card transactions costing more with cards .  The entire thing is a joke countrywide - a growing number of councils are simply not up to the task. |

You can't go in and pay a bill. |

I'll check the payments hall. I have to go in within the next week with my plate renewal. I have learned more. What got me started again last night was a brief summary of a meeting. It transpires this was not the licensing committee but the next one up, the executive committee. It gets worse!!!! |
