Our Licensing section Have come up with the wonderful idea to identify A public hire cab from a Private hire Vehicle Lets make all Taxis Black and all Private hires White so the public can identify them better Is this based on any good practise guide or the personal whim of a licensing officer The worst part if accepted vehicles will have to be repainted instead of end of licence Presently under consultation Any advice on action plan any court cases ETC

It may well be worth pointing out the case of a rapist in Manchester who merely bought a silver car (matching in with Manchester's PH fleet) and raped young woman. |

We have white only hacks UNLESS purpose built, but that means on the V5, so an E7 in any colour can be a hack, as they come with "Taxi" on "vehicle type", but we also have white E7 hacks... and we have black E7 PHV's the 3rd plate (Special events limo's etc) can be any age/any colour |
