At a formal hearing ! Can anyone other than a solicitor go with the driver to represent you ?

eg Councillor, M.P. etc

Simple answer is yes. However you must notify the committee that you will have a representative in advance. Don't just turn up with a rep or they may not be allowed in. If you are thinking about a Councillor, make certain that they don't have any other interest in the trade first.
