Can i have a an office which has no staff sitting there but i have an operators license for that borough but still pass work to those drivers registered to that office from our main office which is in a different borough if so can i use the same notion from multiple sites with no staff but dispatch from our main office under the deregulation bill

It is now the deregulation act. I believe that the jobs still have to be dispatched from the office where the driver and vehicle are based but I could be wrong.

The work must be dispatched from an office in the same area as the driver and vehicle are licensed.

The work can be taken anywhere, and then passed on, but it must be dispatched as above.

Unless of course it's a fleet of hackneys. In that case there are no rules.

well.... if the main office (wherever) sent a mercury (or like) out .... maybe

BUT, if the main office sent the signal to branch office in another LA who sent it out to cars licensed in the sane LA.......even more maybe


Technology is ripping up the old rules, i get work via emails but im hack plated, it could be argued the email is coming from the last server it passed through....

How does the de-regulation act work in practise?
Can anyone explain how i can set up another office in another licensing authority (LA) and sub contract the work, making use of the drivers in that LA

Does that office have to be manned? What despatch system would work best for this?

Customer rings A for a job that you want to be dispatched by the B office, office A rings/faxes/emails office B with the job.

In short, unless I've missed something, the cross border provisions in the De-reg Act aren't as big a change as many spivs had hoped for.

Although Uber have sussed it by getting a computer to issue the job backwards, in that they find the car that's going to get the job, and then re-route the job via the office in the area the vehicle is licensed in.
