some advice required here please about 4 weeks ago I was involved in an incident on the way home form working. as I approached a junction a young female pulled straight out into my path causing me to swerve very sharply and I don't know how I avoided her. I am convinced she was also on a mobile phone. now I managed to drive around her and pull in front of said vehicle I then shall we say was very annoyed by this incident as I have only just purchased my vehicle plated etc about a month before car is a 15 plate.there may of been a few obscenities shouted behind my glass and slowing down etc as I was very shook up and annoyed at this. she then proceeded to give me hand signals back.i never brake tested her or anything like that or even got out of my vehicle I then got level with her at some traffic light s and pulled in front of her to go to a petrol station when she beeped her horn and I did likewise and she drove off. now 4 weeks later I have to report to my licencsing authority due to an road rage incident, I presume she must of had a dashcam and not told the full story. I hold my hands up for overeacting to this but an simple 'sorry' hand up would have done. although I wasn't on duty what could be the outcome of my meeting?? and any advice on what I can say in my defence? they said I can have a solicitor or friend in interview but I haven't bothered with this as of yet. |

First dont represent yourself EVER Second are you in a Union if you are they will handle it for you FOR FREE! Let them the Council present their evidence in WRITING until then do not respond as MRT says . ONCE YOU GET A WRITTEN COMPLAINT and not until seek advice ie a Union or Solicitor . Plead guilty as you suggest and yer a mug you could well be found to be NOT FIT AND PROPER Await their evidence ffs I wish you luck TT |

PM ME THEY HAVE TO GIVE APPROPRIATE TIME FOR THIS TO BE DEALT WITH WHICH MEANS YOU MUST HAVE HAD SITE OF THE WRITTEN COMPLAINT AT LEAST 7 DAYS BEFORE ANY HEARING. IE TIME FOR YOU TO CONSIDER THE COMPLAINT AND ARRANGE REPRESENTATION LOOKS LIKE THEIR TRYING IT ON TO ME BEWARE !! |

Just remember this........Whilst a camera never lies - it does not always tell the truth! The point being is that you will have images , unfortunately for you they are one sided as they do not record the possible obscene comments/gesticulations from the person behind the cam. Use the cam against her as the evidence is inconclusive. |
