With regards to discrimination, we cant charge for "assistance" dogs but CAN for normal pets, £2 each, isnt that in itself discrimination? I cant charge a disabled person more than an able bodied person but i can charge the able bodied person more then the disabled person....... |

The able bodied punter doesn't have to take there mutt with them everywhere where the person with the disability normally does. |

Hell yeah, it's close to the Town Centre so it gets abused by shoppers and people who work in the shops. |

What if the dog has to go to the vets, the able bodied passenger pays, the disabled dont, either way its (reverse) discrimination, equality means equal..... |

What about assistance dogs in restaurants ? We are told dogs aren't allowed in restaurants for hygiene reasons, are assistance dogs cleaner than ordinary ones ? And why are disabled bays at the front door of supermarkets ? I mean once inside they have to wheel themselves 3/4 of a mile around the aisles, does an extra few feet to the front door make any difference ? And why do lift buttons have braille on them ? If a blind person can actually navigate their way to the lift in the first place, knowing which button to press shouldn't be a problem ! (when they enter the lift do they run their hands over the entire inner surface until they find the buttons ?!!) Pedestrian crossings are worse, there's only one button and it has braille on so the blind know that's the one to press ! |
