Did anyone see it?

There was quite a splurge about 'illegal minicabs' in London - a reconstruction of an obviously orchestrated rape, and a piece about the dangers more generally and what the police are doing about it.

As usual there seemed to be one or two things that were a bit misleading -the voiceover said something like:

"You can only hail black taxis, but also licensed hackney carriages in other parts of the country".

No, some of us have to work for a living.

But any press about my touting friends is good news for me.

I'm sure you would have been interested in the piece about the situation generally - it looked as if the police were doing it all, whereas of course your view is that they're just scratching the surface.

The also did an experiment where they just parked a private car up and did nothing, and several people came up and asked if they were for hire - it was the public doing the touting, not the driver.
