Back in the good old days owner drivers could insure taxis on a base fleet "block" insurance, the base would buy (say) 20 spots and sell on at a profit, does anyone here insure their car on a base fleet policy?

I know a few who do.

Base insurance is very risky, I seem to remember bases were adding vehicles which they did not own on to there fleet policy, so unless bases are brokers I would avoid, who gets paid out if you have an accident?

I was under the impression that if you did not own it you could not insure it.

If this is correct, how would anyone who has a car on HP or leased be able to insure the vehicle?

It is the leased car question that makes it seem possible

Yes.

But the one the firm I work with has to be a part owner of the vehicle to get the discount/easier terms.

Not really a problem with PH, but not so easy with hacks.

"owner" is a very loose term, the V5 only shows the KEEPER....an invoice is hardly a rock solid document, I dont OWN my Superb, but i am the keeper

Dunno, none of this is in the policy document or T&C's

Your vehicle = any vehicle on the schedule
