A booking service books me for a pre-paid job at 23.30hrs (paid to booking agent)

I drive 18 miles to the pickup

I ring the number provided, the phone is off

I send 5 texts and an email and "check in" on my facebook to show where/when i am

I leave at 23.50hrs after no replies and the venue is empty

at 01.00hrs i get a text "you didnt show" (the first comms i got off the passenger)

id first confirmed the booking at 19.00hrs (with no reply)

so if the booking agent decides to refund who do I chase, the booking agent (who after all did book me) or the pi55head who probably blagged a lift home?

or jointly (and severally) sue?

What is on your contract with the booking agent regarding no shows? What would you do if it was one of your own bookings?

Your contract is with the booking agent, if you can prove you fulfilled your side of the contract (at the specified address at the specified time) then they should pay you.

Any problems try;
