Mansfield Council wouldn't licence a Tesla because they didn't know the CC of the engine. |

Shouldn't be a problem there specs say 7. All vehicles must have a minimum of 90BHP (91.3PS or 67.1KW) A Telsa is about 581kw so it's well in. |

Your council not very good either, they make it up as they go along. The minimum engine capacity for the vehicle must be: • Petrol 1400cc • Diesel 1400cc • Duel fuel vehicles (Electric/Petrol or Electric/Diesel or Gas/Diesel, Gas/Petrol), Hybrid and Electric Vehicles will be considered on an individual basis on application • Engines less than 1400cc will be considered provided that they are at least 95bhp or 125ps or greater. |

Appeal against their decision. No chance of an LEZ in that area then! |

From looking in to it, it was some dimwit first point of call, there at every council and no bugger all about licensing, the company he works for should have advised him though, but the manager is not very good either, he just cost his company over 10k. |

Not sure I'd be happy sitting anywhere near a boot load of Batteries, I've seen Big batteries explode and I've seen many of those little Watch batteries go off like a pistol crack...what would a large EV battery go off like.. |
