So....Hackney and on a company, we take card payments and they provide one of those little sumup machines, 2.5% to the Base and wait between 29 and 56 days for payment to come off rent statement. I use my own worldpay machine the mobile one you see in shops, restaurants etc.paper receipt, 2% and money in bank in 2/3 working days.
Don't think the directors are happy that I won't use theirs.
Do they have any grounds to make me use their machine?

Thanks Wannabee.....that's what I hoped to hear. The wait can be 56 days say if you took one on 1st of October it would not come off rent statement till 1st December. Consequently if you take one say 31st October that would also off Decembers rent....

Yep so all the interest hits their account lol....I can understand it with dockets for account work but it's a bit harsh when it's card payments. Are you on a base or streetcar?

If its their policy that jobs they give you that require card payment must be under their terms then I suppose the answer is yes.

However you are at liability to not do that work.

But the company owners are trying it on by keeping the money that long, as you say these things should pay out within a few days.

If push comes to shove I will use theirs for radio jobs and mine for flag downs and rank work. Does anyone else have the same wait for payments? Now I see why lots of drivers keep saying their machines aren't working to the customers

Previous base = Invoice base EOM wait 30-45 days for cheque

This base = put ticket in weekly and knock it off the rent. no waiting
