Are you saying that there is no means of securing the wheelchair? When we had our wheelchair vehicle it had straps that held it to the floor and they incorporated a 3 point seatbelt. |

It has a 5th Passenger seat belt on the offside rear pillar and the Stalks on the nearside Lower Pillar...you can see it in the pic. |

Surely to be wheelchair compliant it must have restraints for the wheelchair? The chair faces backwards so doesn't need a seatbelt. |

Be a hell of a Job pulling it in Backwards!! It seems to have restraints on the floor, and those Real Pillar Belts suggest it's forward facing. |

it has straps/restraints but......... if its plated for 5 and theres no wheelchair it cant carry 5 passengers, hence the LO confusion it wouldnt get a 5 plate |

wannabeeahack wrote: it has straps/restraints but......... if its plated for 5 and theres no wheelchair it cant carry 5 passengers, hence the LO confusion it wouldnt get a 5 plate I made representation to my L/A on behalf of a member of the NTA and as this is a purpose built vehicle to carry 4 seated passengers and 1 wheelchair passenger the plate was issued for 5 passengers. The rest work out for yourselves or are you the confused ones not the L/A Officers. |

Ours wont plate it for anything other than 4 passengers in case a driver is tempted to take 5 (with the 5th NOT being in a wheelchair) Not that we have a licensing officer the V5 will state number of seats and thats it..... |
