By trained up I mean in using the despatch software. And I think we would have to pay the owners / investors an hourly wage for when they work as booking clerks.

I have seen it before. Its not that easy starting from scratch. Most people in the town will have there preferred cab company. And some how you have got to get then to ring you instead. Will your 10 drivers be willing to earn very little till the work builds up. Start small 1 or 2 cars and work your way up from there. Or if your employing them are you going to be paying them £8.00ph each and all the expenses if the phones not ringing

You don't need PDA's for a start up company, pen and paper and some cheap radios will start you off.
