had my 3 year badge renewal come

£327

this includes a DBS which now (finally) has to be done online AND i must take on "updates"

hold on though............. I have my LIVE certificate (DBS) and have updates all done 3 years ago and working, done through this very same council

So ive emailed the LO

Quote:
Licensing have adopted online DBS applications and added a requirement for "updates" on the DBS certificates for applicants, etc.

I have a LIVE certificate (DBS) from my last LDC badge renewal AND updates from that/for that certificate, so - as ive asked before - i believe i do not need another DBS check/application.

My badge renewal form is asking for £327.00 for a 3 year badge, inclusive off the DBS application, so do i need a new set of form minus the DBS fee?

I havent had a breakdown of costs but i believe its £44 for the enhanced DBS?

I am also badged by Staffordshire county council and the above DBS system is how they apply applications.

thanks

If needed I can make an appointment to discuss the DBS issue.

It took for them to implement a requirement that applicants apply online THROUGH them and added updates though and i bet im the 1st "updater" the admin will see at the desk....OMG

had a new set of badge renewal forms minus the DBS fee but the illuminating bit is that the LO has added a line on the paperwork "£273 as this applicant has signed up for the updates" so the desk clerk wont ask for the full fee
