Ours use "continuity" as their cop out when THEY fck up... (have you paid? ok we can sort it)

my plate expires july 31st, paid mine/tested 2 weeks ago, no plate yet... i dont expect the plate anytime soon

The DfT issued guidance saying it would be good practice (or something like that) to do checks every three years, but didn't say if the police are late replying drivers should be put out of work.

If other agencies are indeed not fulfilling their legal duty then that is clearly wrong, however that is not an excuse to punish drivers that have complied with their legal duty to undertake DBS checks.

It is probably enough to refuse a licence through non disclosure.
