If anyone wants to view the detailed tables for the latest DfT taxi stats, but haven't been able to, you may need to download Apache OpenOffice to view the spreadsheets.
(Some other spreadsheet applications may be able to open them, but all I've got is an old version of Excel, and it certainly doesn't. If you have the latest version of Excel then that should open them no bother.)
The main DfT document is in pdf format, so suspect everyone will be able to view it.

As well as the stats for drivers and vehicle numbers etc, there's also one spreadsheet with info on age rules and CCTV etc.
