Indeed, the insurance position is potentially interesting.

And no doubt Lewes could be doing more. But some automatically extending licences, so Lewes doing a tiny bit more than them - they're requiring some sort of communication to that effect.

In an earlier thread about automatic licence extensions, Sussex wrote:

I think that any council that has officers in isolation, or simply no staff available to relicense, should consider that option.

Far from ideal, but FFS we are in a global crisis.

That comment was in relation to drivers and owners not being able to show up at the council.

In short an extension to the license until they could fulfil the licensing criteria that was in place prior to the current mess.
