Who has had to take out employers liability and public liability on subbies doing school runs who are self employed?

Surely their insurance will cover it, but I suspect many operators have to cover any work they sub.

If you have subcontractors then it is important that you have vicarious liability cover.

Sorry, didn't finish the post.

If you give a booking to a subcontractor and he is involved in an accident, in which your passenger is injured, their lawyer will go after the subbie. If he hasn't suitable insurance (or none at all) as the agent for the booking you will be the next place a lawyers letter get sent. They will sue who they are more likely to money from.
