The Welsh Government have published new Best Practise Guidance, in an attempt to try and harmonise standards and licensing criteria in Wales. Just clicked on this. 9. Working hours 9.1 The operator must take steps to ensure that drivers do not work excessively long hours. Drivers should not be permitted driver for more than 10 hours per day and must have a break lasting at least 30 minutes after driving for 5.5 hours. The driver must also have a break at the end of this period, unless it’s the end of the working day. Think the grammar isn't too clever but an interesting bit of good practise IMO. |
