Can a private hire operator use their license for more than one private hire company?

Not sure on this one.

There are many businesses out there that have 3 or 4 companies (PH) all serving the same fleet of vehicles for tax purposes.

If they have an operators licence for each one is hard to tell. I would guess they probably do.

There are different ways to structure your model depending on what your objectives are.

I'm struggling to find a reason why not.

If the drivers and vehicles on firm B are also registered by firm A I'm don't see a problem.

Depends what you mean by 'company', precisely.

If you mean two separately constituted businesses, like two limited companies, or two partnerships, then I wouldn't have thought so, but not sure.
