So following pressure from Ken Livingstone the Government have decided to ammend the regulations controlling London so it is possible to issue a temporary licence.

Apparently once a pH driver presents his medical, applications forms and proof that he has sent off his CRB form the PCO will issue a temporary three month licence.

This should go before Parliament on Wednesday having been signed off already by Alistair Darling.

All of us govern by Misc Prov 76 miss out on this revelation for the trade.

Evidence that Lobbying does work and Red Ken is sensible chap after all

Now Tom I hope you aren't going to mention this to any of the London HC drivers.

Still, a sign of things to come.
