A quick question from a live case on Pepipoo, is is legal for a taxi to stop on the zigzags of a pedestrian crossing to pick up or set down passengers? Part of me thinks not as buses are permitted to do so beyond a crossing to stop at a bus stop. If a passenger in a taxi demands to get out on the exit from a crossing what is to stop him doing so? I understand London cabs have driver-controlled door locks.

Not sure it is, but I would imagine the good folks of Pepipoo should know.
