There is obvious bias towards your own drivers if you are the owner of the taxi base. But what happens if you are the controller and your father is a driver at the same taxi office.

At the office I work at. The father gets all the lucrative jobs. Particularly the in & out airports as well as the long runs. Then on the weekend the controller (the son) jumps into his father's car and does the in & outs he has lined up for himself. The owners of the base must know what is going on ? Does this sort of thing go on everywhere and what can be done to make it fair for the other many drivers at the base ?

I think it’s part and parcel of the trade, in most cases.

You are always going to get favouritism, sometimes bordering on corruption.

What can be done? Well my suggestion to drivers being screwed is to find another firm and hope they are a bit more honest.

Or maybe one of the app firms that don’t have operators.

Tell the base owner that your not happy, all jobs on despatch systems should be logged - who did what/who booked it, if the base doesnt want your rent each week other firms will

"FTF" (Fed To Feck)

I think Uber doesnt have the problem.....

We Had the issue a few years ago. The dispatcher was favoring certain drivers so we sacked him. Simple as that.
