If you provide us your new medical on Monday 23rd October 2023 then that is fine.

However please bear in mind that you will not be able to take any private hire driver pre-booking journeys after the 21/10/2023 until we are in receipt of your new medical.

As discussed over the phone I can confirm that you were given a short-term licence till Oct 2023 due to your medical and if you get a new medical done before the current expiry date of your badge then we will extend your licence to its full term which is till December 2023.

I have spoken to a senior on renewals for Licensing and they have confirmed that the medical you intend to have done in Oct 2023, if your chosen GP declares you fit to drive to Group 2 DVLA standards then this will be valid at renewal, and we will use that same medical when you submit your renewal application with us.

Your Private Hire Paper Licence is attached above. Your Private Hire Badges will be posted out to you recorded delivery to your address provided on your application, these will be posted out within the next week.

You can work with your Private Hire Driver Paper Licence and do not require your badges for the time being.

You can either dispose of your old badges securely at home or you can return your old badges to us and we will dispose of them for you.
