For anyone applying for a licence and are not sure if/what records are kept about your history that will show or a CRB check, just to be absolutely sure you might like to confirm your cleanliness by applying to the National Identification Service for details that are held about you on the Police National Computer (essentially your recorded criminal record). This has to be disclosed to you in accordance with Section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998.
To get this information you need to apply to :-
National Identification Service
Subject Access Office
Room 350
New Scotland Yard
Broadway
London
SW1H 0BG
There is a £10.00 fee for this information - but it is well worth it if it puts your mind at rest.
