What seating capacity is an operator limited DOWN to on a "Traffic commission" "coach" National O licence? i.e. could they use 8 seaters on a spare O licence? |

Believe they can use 8 seater but passengers have to be paying seperate fares. |

A licenced psv operator can run up to 10% of his licence entitlement on under 8 seat vehicles. But they must be shown on the O licence list of vehicles and maintained to PSV spec. The Traffic commissioner's office must be notified of them. Oddly enough the driver of an under 8 seat on a psv disc does not ned a psv entitlement on his driving licence, nor does be need a ph licence. I used to tun my Range Rover on a psv disc after the local LO refused to licence it. There was nothing he could do about it. |
