Just to clarify, we in warrington have a JDL (Joint Driving Licence) the same for Hac and PH. But we have a limit on Hack plates so what this means is there's going to be more PH drivers on the road. (unless more Hac's are going to share cars)

I'm a bit puzzled here, Hackney carriage Drivers' licences are issued under the 1847 act and P.H. licences under the 1976 act, two seperate licences, how can one cover both?

The 1976 act up-dated parts, but not all, of the 1847 act in relation to taxis.

In Lincoln we have Two badges. No driver here has both.

But a couple of PH drivers have been sharing their badge with "friends" who are waiting for their CRB checks, (or certificates of good conduct from their embassies, if you catch my non-racist drift) to come back. Swept under the carpet by proprietors who play a straight bat.

Its quite simple Jimbo, they don't understand that they're breaking the law, in Khazatstan its perfectly acceptable, and I'm sure once they are made aware of British Law, they will continue to ignore the laws of Britain.

How does it make cheating easy?
