I wasn't aware of the recent increase in Edinburgh license fees, from 700 to 1250 pounds. I'm surprised the increase wasn't challenged? Makes you wonder who's running the trade up there?

Sounds like a bargain , over the year it's only 24 quid a week.
Where is the most expensive place in the UK at the moment to licence a taxi?

I would say the fee of £1200+ is most probably three times that of the next dearest down here.

Crazy amount of money. :?
