Does anyone know what type of No Smoking sign must be displayed in a PH car (under South Lanarkshire Council)? Can it be just the general 'No Smoking' symbol or must it be an 'official' one which mentions who to complain to if a person is observed smoking in the car. thanks in advance.

I would imagine the normal cross through the fag sign would suffice.

But maybe it's an idea to ring your LO.

But be aware, if you bring in the LO it's likely to be the size of a football and cost £12

The rules have nothing to do with the councils and are contained in the smoking ban legislation, although the councils are responsible for enforcement.

I think they have to be a certain size and visible to people approaching the vehicle and inside, and should say who a complaint can be made to.

I think some councils sent stickers to operators, but in others it's presumably the responsibility of the trade.
