So Mr Sussexman, you have been put on this earth to warn people about the dangers of buying a plate to save them.

No Mr Sussexman you are just a pathetic little man who has been left behind. Stick to warning people down in Eastbourne. Put all your efforts into your own area. But I reckon the only plate you will get will be a brass one on your coffin.

All you do is moan moan moan. Pathetic little man.

And Mr T. J/D Dusty Bin is one of the Administrators on here. He disappeared a while ago after compiling the silly "Myth or Reality" essay just before the final decision was made on the OFT report. He made himself look really stupid and "vanished". Now he has made a comeback in a different guise.

If you are new to this forum you will soon learn that there is a great divide. Those that have a plate and those that dont.

Makes fun reading though!

I think you are sort of half right about that, but they are different people in my honest opinion. But at least if you are half right, I'm impressed you are getting better, because more times than not, you are wrong.

I think most on TDO have plates, it's just that some think that others aren't entitled to a particular variety.

Could be right there mate. Plates are fetching nothing here now, one recently changed hands for £2,200. We now have 79 Hackney plates before delimitation we had 47, Earnings have decreased 50% but the work has not increased.

Plate values declined slightly up here Nidge, but now they have rose by 300% of their best previous value.

The reason is that people don't want to drive or maintain WAV's, particularly when takings are dropping.

We know that deregulation is killing the H/C trade, we try to warn others of the implications but their green eyed monsters are clouding their thinking processes. They DREAM of being a H/C driver but don't want to do what everyone else has done and thats invest in a business to obtain a decent return.

When you say we, does that mean the 60% of councils that don't restrict are dead?

2 years ago they were fetching £10,000 +. Not a bad demise is it?

This is about the most robust criticism that has yet been made of Myth and Reality (note that's AND, not OR).

But since it's little more than juvenile abuse it says it all.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Incidentally, you're chronology is all wrong as well - Dusty stopped posting early in Feb, and only posted a handful of times early in March when someone misrepresented what he said.

But even that was a few weeks before the OFT announcement.
