Another lucky dip appraoch to taxi numbers. :(

Why is it that councils can't just survey demand and do what the survey says. It doesn't cost the council a bean, and gets them off the hook with the 'no my thought guv' get out.

Instead they think of a number, and go for it. Why 6, why not 106, why not 1?

Clueless, absolutly clueless.

The article talks about Worthing and the 85 act, nowhere in the 85 act does it say a council need spend on independent surveys it merely says in court they must proove demand is met

having said all that this wa for private hire is outside thier scope.

they dont know thier arse from thier elbow.

You would have thought that as they have taken 20 years to look this issue, they would have got it right. But guessing taxi demand and hoping for the best, is just a kop out.

I just wish someone would apply for a plate, and see how they justify their position. However as with many clueless councils, you also have clueless drivers who are prepared just to sit back and take it all, even if they don't have too. :(
