First it was the Fire Engine Limo, now check out the latest emergency service inspired limo, the American Ambulance Limo !

http://www.crazyfirecompany.com/page12.html

There is also another company here in Renfrewshire offering a LA County Sheriff Jeep for hire

Where will it end ?, the Police Limo !

I suppose we must be grateful that at least they have worked out the not more than 8 customers, but I bet they aren't licensed as a PH. :(

The vehicles are definately not licensed, & the drivers probably won't be either, indeed one of the Fire Engine operators require their drivers to have HGV licenses

A quick look in the Yellow Pages informs you they are 16 limo operators here in the Renfrewshire Council area (Paisley); Fire Engines, Ambulances, Sheriff Jeeps, People Carriers & the usual Stetched ones, all unlicensed

There is even a Indian Resturant that will send someone round in a car, pick you up & then drop you off when you have had your meal

Please send someone down from Grampian Police to sort out this mess !

Funny how Northumbria Ambulance Service are no longer using the vehicle pictured in the article, on the grounds that they are unsafe. On more than one occasion the rear wheels or axle broke. Apparently in the US half as much equipment is carried and the manufacturer claimed that the extra weight was the reason for the part failure. 7 people dancing in an area designed for no more than 3 seems a wee bit dangerous to me.
