But they had this super dupa barrister that told them everything will be fine and dandy.
The self drive scam was bought about for one reason only, and that was to sell section 6 converted limos, and boy did those mugs lap it up.

What i found alarming over all this, They all wanted to do it "legally" so hire the services of a legal begal, right! THEN after a few sales of S 6 conversions, they find short cuts to this so called conversion, and even offer various "S 6" conversion packages ! How can this work? Its ever an "S 6" conversion, or its not. From what i understand of late, this so called conversion is now disputed. Take the guy in Wales for example, Told how it should be operated by the "S 6" converter, then gets niked for operating incorrect. By the way, "S 6" Does the "S" stand for SCAM? I'ts very clear, which way these 16 seat limos are heading, And i don't think the people operating them would have a cat in hells chance of keeping up with them. All these people that have been suckered into buying one of these S6 conversions, should be feeling extremly nervous at the moment i would have thought. ALL the pending Laws, rules and regulations, have been there for the operator to read, you could have read them way back. But, i'm guessing these peoples HUGE bank loans have to be paid somehow, and took priority over common-sense. One would have thought, if they had got to grips with laws, rules and regs up and coming, now or in this case, the past, they would have made a safer and much wiser capital investment. Instead they listened to converters that don't operate them any longer. Or if they do, they are selling them. If it's such a lucrative venture (operating one) why sell a prime asset? "Quick the feds are coming...........Flush them down the toilet" (and i use the above as a metaphor) |

I wounder IF the people giving out the loans on these things realise that they opporate out side the law.. can you repay a loan from a prison cell.. and to repo one wont see a return on capital if no one wants to buy them.

I hate to pee on your bonfires but the PRI is for new imports only. It does not affect any limousines that are already here neither does it affect how they are operated. |

That will increase the values of old units then! If anyone new comes into the limousine industry. Any of the old timers within, should know better than to purchase a new one, or old for that matter. |

Up to 8 seats remains much the same as it has always been. Most of the work for the over 8s, Iam told, is straight forward. |

Having read through the proposed, it's basically a COIF to a degree, why not have piece of mind, and do it the correct way? Surely, if you want to invest that sort of money in a vehicle, you would cover ALL bases, crossed T's, Dotted I's, as it where! Or are these people still thinking "its a quick buck (pardon the pun) to be made? From my understanding, Most of these people cannot see beyond the next Pound (£). BUT i guess, these mamouth loans they have, need paying somehow. |

Most people that want say a new hummer will probably go for a coifed one now because they are only a few grand more than a sch 6 conversion. The regulations do not apply to the ones already here. |

Maybe the vehicle regs, but not the 'hire and reward' regs. They are all doomed.
