1. Do I have to display my PH badge when driving the car on personal use i.e just going to the shop, going to the recycling site or away for a couple of days?.

2. Is my vehicle parked outside my house (or friends house) displaying the name and phone number considred "touting" in the event that a neighbour or passer by asks for a quote/business card etc.

1. Maybe but I doubt anyone does.

2. No, IMO, as it's allowed by the council. Especially if you are a licensed operator.

If a car is plated, unless the council have issued an exemption from displaying the rear plate, the plates have to be displayed at all times.

I would think you would only be accused of touting if you actually excepted a job there and then to be carried out at that time.

As you are always picking me up Mr Grandad I'm more than pleased to return the favour in pointing out Mr Tulsa was on about badges not plates.

Can't see anything wrong with you saying ring this number, as long as they approach you for those details.
