what are the rules regarding convictions and spent convictions in obtaining a taxi license in dundee scotland |

Could be a problem, but get elected as a councillor instead, and you'll be OK. If you can't wait till the next elections, just start a stretch limo firm or airport transfer service, then you only need an ordinary driver's licence and MOT, you don't need to worry about failing it, as long as you get it through eventually, and no chance of your name being spashed all over the Tele if you run a heap. But you've only got until November 30, then you'll need a license.

all convictions must be put on your application form in including spent ones a couple of people have been charged for not doing this and it usually means you wont get your badge, a lot has changed over the last couple of years four year back and people with speeding convictions were getting refused but now even people who lost their lisence through drink driving are getting ther badge back as soon as they get their lisence back, 203020 are good at getting people their badges, if you have convictions that are under five years old this might be your best bet, alternativly you could go and give the enforcement officer at clepington road a visit anyone is allowed to question him ,if your convictions are going to be a problem its this chappy who will object to you holding a badge, he will tell you in advance if he is going to object..... |
