Can someone tell me where I find the latest Government guidelines on getting a licence to drive a cab after a period of disqualification.Ie one or two convictions.? Not me by the way!

I suppose in the past we could have checked the Rehabilitation of Offender Act, but as that no-longer applies to the taxi/PH trade we can't. More likely each council has their own procedure, which usually means those with points or convictions going before the licensing committee. But for drink driving, a significant gap should be in place until someone gets their taxi/PH license back. Possibly up to 5+ years. |

If your a councillor in Mansfield you can get it back after 3 years, apply in another district for your badge with a glowing report from your bent colleagues. |
