We just got a raise in Baltimore, USA due to higher fuel costs (1st raise in 7 years). Does anyone know how to adjust a Pulsar 2030? The one guy in town who does it is swamped and the fare changes midnight 6/30.
It goes from $1.60 to $1.80 to start, and $1.25 to $1.45 per mile.

Don't know Mr DC, but don't you need a special tool from the manufacturers to adjust meters?

But it's know wonder there's only one guy in town that does it if you haven't had a rise for 7 years - bet he's raking it in though. :lol:

BTW, why do the names of American cities always seem more exciting than our own - like Baltimore and Milwaukee, when we've got Bristol and Manchester :mrgreen:

Or do ours sound more exciting to you? :D

Maybe I'm just reminiscing about the Fonz and Happy Days :lol:

Baltimore was named for a Brit, one of George III's favorites--Lord Baltimore. Bit of a Brit myself, I am.

wow, in our money, even with the rise, it would be £1 flag fall and £0.81 per mile. how on earth do you lot make a living off that?

and only eqiv to 125 quid to buy new, click on the meter start button for a test run, amazing, faster than mine.

I suppose it depends on the jobs. If they are all 100 mile jobs with no traffic hold ups, then maybe it's not so bad.

We run the same meters. the rates are changed by getting the number of pulses on a measured mile and tapping that number in to some (pulsar i assume) computer software, which then gives you the right settings for you paticular vehilce. theres something that plugs in to the front of the meter to enable you to scroll the new figures in, but to be honest its all a bit over my head.

nice meters, but sometmes a little difficult to see the buttons in the dark. i put two little strips of white tape on the start and stop buttons so i could see them better at night.
